Brian O’Conner und Mia Toretto haben Dom aus Polizeigewahrsam befreit und suchen Zuflucht in Rio de Janeiro, werden aber auch dort nicht in Ruhe gelassen. Um ein für alle Mal ihre Ruhe zu haben, versammeln sie ein weiteres Mal ein Team von Topfahrern und wollen einen korrupten Geschäftsmann ausschalten, der es auf sie abgesehen hat.
